Initially, when tickets for the Amazon screenings became available, IMAX theaters in my region were largely booked. To secure a prime spot, I opted for the 3D version of Superman instead.
Normally, I never see 3D, but I want to see James Gunn’s new Man of Steel movie ASAP.
If you were hesitant about watching Superman in 3D, don’t be concerned anymore! According to Gunn, the 3D adaptation of Superman is truly exceptional.

I recently watched the 3D final cut of ‘Superman’, and it was simply astonishing! If you’re fond of 3D movies, I highly recommend catching this film in that format.

Amazon screening release
On Tuesday, July 8, early screenings of Superman will be released on Amazon. If you’re an Amazon member, you can purchase tickets through their website at www.amazon.com/superman.
Tickets for general admission are now available, encompassing the Father’s Day Hero Set and the Collector’s Package as well.
In Theaters This Summer
On July 11, 2025, Superman will be released in theaters and IMAX screens across the nation, with international showings starting on July 9. The movie features David Corenswet as both Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. Additionally, it introduces several new DC heroes portrayed by Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Edi Gathegi, and Anthony Carrigan.
Under the fresh DC Studios flag, spearheaded by Gunn and fellow producer Peter Safran, this will mark our debut in the realm of full-length films. Notably, Gunn himself penned the script for this project.
Regardless if you watch it in its conventional version or splurge on the 3D experience, it’s clear that ‘Superman’ is gearing up to be among the most notable cinematic events of this summer season.
