Jujutsu Kaisen’s Manga Ending Date Sparks Gojo’s Return Theories; Here’s How

As a die-hard fan of Jujutsu Kaisen who has lived and breathed this series since its inception, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and apprehension as we approach the final chapters. The speculation about Gojo Satoru’s return is like a beacon of hope for us fans, illuminating the darkness that enveloped us when he perished in the Battle of the Strongest.

Since the Battle of the Strongest, there has been ongoing debate among fans about whether we will witness Gojo Satoru’s return in the series. Given that Gojo is the most beloved character from the franchise, fans are eagerly requesting author Gege Akutami to resurrect the ‘handsome protagonist Gojo’. However, bringing him back may not be as simple as it sounds.

1. Jujutsu Kaisen often reintroduces deceased characters, as demonstrated by Suguru Geto and Fushiguro Toji. As the final chapter of the manga approaches (only 5 chapters left in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump), numerous speculations about Gojo’s return are circulating online.

The last chapter aligns with the one-year anniversary of Gojo Satoru’s first demise, fueling speculation among fans that he might reappear. After succumbing to Sukuna, Gojo is presently in the spirit realm. Although his physical body was split, it is now inhabited by Yuta Okkotsu, and his spirit remains in the afterlife.

It’s been proposed that Rika, who is Yuta’s Cursed Spirit, might employ the Reverse Cursed Technique (RCT) in an attempt to resurrect Gojo. This idea is reasonable given that Yuta currently controls Gojo’s body, suggesting a strong possibility for his revival. In essence, the RCT works by transforming dark energy into positive power.

Sukuna is another user who can use the RCT effectively. Perhaps either Yuta or Yuji can force the King of Curses to revive Gojo but the chances of this are slim. Previously, Sukuna removed Yuji’s heart, used his ability to heal as leverage and forced Yuji to make a binding vow with him.

Another theory, and a rather grim one, is a sacrificial revival. These theories are speculative and it all lies in the hands of Gege Akutami as to whether Gojo Satoru will be back or not. Regardless, the sheer impact Gojo has had on the world of Jujutsu Kaisen will go down in history. Stay tuned for the latest updates on Jujutsu Kaisen!
