I’m thrilled to share that a tantalizing sneak peek for the next chapter of my beloved anime, “Jujutsu Kaisen,” has just been unveiled! Officially named “Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game,” this trailer promises an even more exhilarating ride.
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that the eagerly anticipated continuation of our beloved series was officially announced post Season 2’s finale in December 2023. Picking up right from where we left off following the Shibuya Incident, it promises to immerse us once more in the chaotic aftermath. The trailer spotlights Yuji Itadori’s battle with lingering trauma, building anticipation for the entrance of Yuta Okkotsu – the hero from the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 film – on a mission to confront him. The encounter between these two sorcerers is teased as fierce, while also hinting at tense stand-offs featuring Naoya Zen’in and Choso. I can hardly wait!
In contrast to unfounded speculation during Season 2’s airtime, it is confirmed that studio MAPPA will once again take charge of the production for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, with several essential cast and crew members reprising their roles. The anticipated segment known as The Culling Game, a highly debated yet lauded part of Gege Akutami’s original manga, is expected to lead the series into a grittier and more thrilling dimension.
The first part of “Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game” is expected to be globally released in January 2026. You can catch it on Crunchyroll, with an enticing preview available in the form of an official teaser trailer (which you can view above).
