As a seasoned film enthusiast with a soft spot for psychological thrillers, I must say that Josh Hartnett‘s transformation from portraying a serial killer in Trap to experiencing the exhilaration of a Taylor Swift concert firsthand is nothing short of captivating.
In the latest news, Josh Hartnett is garnering attention for his role as the enigmatic serial killer Cooper in M. Night Shyamalan’s recently premiered psychological thriller titled “Trap.” The story revolves around Cooper and his teenage daughter, portrayed by Ariel Donoghue, who together attend a pop concert performed by Lady Raven. However, their night takes a chilling turn as they find themselves entangled in a far more sinister plot when it is revealed that they are at the heart of a trap set by the FBI to apprehend the elusive Butcher during this event.
Recently, Hartnett shared with PEOPLE magazine that following the wrap of his film, he took his daughters to see Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour performance in London.
The performer revealed that before the show, he underestimated the intensity and passion fans have for music events, expressing, “Some parts, while we were shooting, I was thinking, ‘Wow, this is quite excessive, the enthusiasm of the crowd, and they know all the lyrics by heart.”
Hartnett expressed his initial belief that the fandom portrayal appeared overly enthusiastic, but following his attendance at her concert and observing the atmosphere, he understood it was entirely warranted. He put it simply by stating, “I got the hang of things after the show.”

Last year during the filming of Trap, it was mentioned by the actor portraying Oppenheimer that his children showed no interest in popular music. He elaborated that when their school friends spoke about Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, they were captivated by the idea and swiftly became devoted fans, even going as far as to call themselves ‘Swifties,’ and avid ones at that.
For six continuous months, Hartnett’s daughters made him listen to their favorite musician in the car, until at last he decided to take them to see her live performance.

In an open chat with the media, Josh Hartnett shared that his favorite Taylor Swift album he often listens to with his children is “1989.” He added that this album is a favorite at their home and he appreciates it as well, stating it’s a great album. Furthermore, the actor expressed that being a father is exciting because your kids expose you to new interests you might not have explored otherwise, leading you to engage in activities you wouldn’t choose for yourself.
Currently, the movie titled “Trap” is showing in cinemas. This film features Josh Hartnett, Alison Pill, Hayley Mills, Ariel Donoghue, Saleka Shyamalan, Jonathan Langdon, Mark Bacolcol, Marnie McPhail, Kid Cudi, Marcia Bennett, and others on the cast.
