Jordan Lutes Reveals He ‘Almost Broke Down Crying’ During His Proposal To Demi Lovato

Demi Lovato’s future spouse, Jordan Lutes (also known as Jutes), is reminiscing about a significant moment in their relationship – the proposal to the former Disney star. He shared that he experienced several emotional upheavals while planning and executing his proposal.

In an interview on The Viall Files on October 10th, Jutes shared the story behind proposing to his fellow musician Lovato (aged 31) and when he did so. He explained that he composed a song for the proposal. Although Jutes isn’t proficient in playing the guitar, he managed some chords which took him about a week to arrange. Afterward, he wrote the lyrics and rehearsed it.

Jutes revealed that the song ended with “Will you marry me?” but playing it on strings proved so difficult that he messed up three out of four times and simply hoped he would get it right in front of Lovato. “I definitely almost broke down crying a few times,” he confessed.

Jutes revealed that he requested Lovato’s team to divert her attention with fictitious obligations prior to his performance, aiming to surprise her thoroughly. He expressed his belief that she would agree, as they had casually talked about marriage and related subjects before.

In January 2022, Lovato and Jutes crossed paths for the first time when they teamed up to work on her track titled “Substance”. Their relationship blossomed into public knowledge in August 2022, and they solidified their status as a couple on the red carpet in February 2023. By December, Los Angeles was the setting where Jutes got down on one knee before Lovato, presenting her with a captivating pear-shaped diamond ring.

Last month, Lovato praised Jutes to People, describing him as a thoughtful, affectionate, and considerate companion. She admitted that it’s effortless for her to maintain balance in his presence due to the exceptional way he treats her.

The duo frequently shares affectionate posts about each other on social media platforms. For Lovato’s 30th birthday in August, Jutes published a touching tribute on Instagram, stating that Lovato’s humor helps alleviate his sadness. In response, Lovato affectionately referred to him as the world’s best boyfriend.

For Halloween 2022, they showcased their unique couple’s costume as a zombie bride and groom. They mentioned that they visited a haunted house in New Orleans as a pair. On Christmas Eve, they enjoyed their time at Disneyland, exchanging a romantic kiss near the Sleeping Beauty Castle, which was beautifully adorned with festive lights for the holiday season spectators.
