Jonathan Bailey Reunites with His Beloved Steed From Bridgerton For Epic Wicked Scene; Hails the Horse as ‘Legend’ in Heartfelt Video

As a lifestyle expert with an eye for cinematic magic, I can’t help but admire the unique bond between Jonathan Bailey and his equine co-star, Jack, in the upcoming musical film Wicked. It’s not every day you hear of an actor requesting to work with their horse counterpart from a previous role!

In the upcoming musical movie “Wicked”, Jonathan Bailey, aged 36, reconnected with a fellow Bridgerton cast member and utilized their past camaraderie to execute his impressive debut scene. Interestingly, Bailey asked for Jack, the horse he rode during the Bridgerton series on Netflix, to be brought in for his entrance scene in the upcoming film featuring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo.

On Tuesday, November 5th’s episode of The Popcorn Podcast, the actor disclosed that he had some connection with Jack in the past. Later, on Monday, November 11th, the Wicked TikTok account (as reported by People) posted a short video teaser featuring Bailey as Prince Fiyero Tigelaar in the upcoming movie. The video included Bailey’s voiceover discussing his relationship with Jack.

In a conversation prior to the start of filming, Bailey visited John M. Chu and stated, “I believe I’ve identified who plays the horse.” To which John responded, “What exactly do you imply?” According to Bailey, the TikTok video then showcased a short clip of Fellow Travelers actor arriving on set as his character, who happens to be the horse in the movie.

Bailey put it this way: “The common advice is ‘Avoid working with children and pets.’ However, when it comes to Jack, my response would be different – ‘Go for it! He’s exceptional,'” Bailey decided.

In the November 5th podcast, Bailey acknowledged that Jack boosted his self-assurance, enabling him to take on the challenge confidently during the filming of the scene. He characterized Jack as a “concentrated” and “reliable” co-star in the scene.

As a devoted theater enthusiast, I have the privilege of sharing the stage with Grande as Glinda and Erivo as Elphaba in the enchanting musical Wicked. Previously, the roles were beautifully portrayed by Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel, while Norbert Leo Butz brought my character to life originally.

As a dedicated follower, I’m thrilled to share that the much-awaited movie features Ethan Slater portraying Boq, Jeff Goldblum bringing the Wizard to life, Michelle Yeoh taking on Madame Morrible, Marissa Bode as Nessarose, Bowen Young playing Pfannee, Bronwyn James as ShenShen, and Peter Dinklage stepping into the role of Dr. Dillamond.

The musical “Wicked” is set to premiere in two separate instalments, with the initial segment due for release in cinemas on Friday, November 22nd.
