Vancouver residents were surprised and delighted this week to see the Jonas Brothers filming a new Disney movie in their city.
Just before their concert at Rogers Arena, Nick, Joe, and Kevin were spotted filming at Barnet Marine Park in Burnaby.

I saw some photos and videos online, and it looks like the Jonas Brothers were filming *Camp Rock 3*! The set was amazing – they had a huge “Camp Rock” sign, canoes and kayaks all around the lake, even a vintage car. There were tons of people there as extras too, it seemed like a really big production.
A sign at the park indicated a movie tentatively titled *Rock the Boat* is being filmed, and Creative BC has confirmed production will continue until October 28th.
Despite Disney not officially confirming it, it seems like *Camp Rock 3* is now actively being made.
Okay, so I was SO excited to hear Demi Lovato talking about a possible *Camp Rock 3*! She was on *Watch What Happens Live* recently, and when asked about it, she said she’d seen Joe Jonas mention something too. She’s really into the idea of a new generation taking over, but she also played it cool and said we’ll just have to wait and see. Honestly, I’m already hoping it happens!
Rumors began circulating earlier this year after Joe Jonas mentioned on the show *Hot Ones* that he had a script for a potential *Camp Rock 3* saved in his phone’s notes. He playfully apologized to Disney as his brothers expressed their surprise.
The Disney Channel Original Movie *Camp Rock* first aired in 2008 and attracted almost 9 million viewers, making it a huge hit. A follow-up movie, *Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam*, came out in 2010.
The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato became global stars thanks to these movies, and fans have wanted a sequel ever since.
In 2022, Demi Lovato performed with the Jonas Brothers, revisiting popular songs like “This Is Me” and “Wouldn’t Change a Thing.” This performance fueled speculation about a possible new movie.
She described the performance as a really enjoyable experience, saying she had a lot of fun performing with the group and the audience responded positively. She also noted it felt nostalgic for many, including herself.
With filming now underway in Vancouver, fans may finally be getting the long-awaited sequel.
