On the 10th of August, this past Sunday, the Jonas Brothers commenced their grand 20th anniversary tour, JONAS20, with an electrifying performance at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The trio – Kevin, Joe, and Nick – filled the night with nostalgic moments and unexpected twists, even welcoming Demi Lovato for a memorable reunion.
At the performance, Joe Jonas reminisced about their Disney past by playing “Gotta Find You”, a tune from the 2008 Camp Rock movie. Later on, he invited Demi Lovato, who portrayed Mitchie Torres in the film, to join him on stage.
In 2010, these two individuals, who had previously been a real-life couple, sang some of the film’s iconic tunes together, such as “This Is Me” and “Wouldn’t Change a Thing.” After singing “This Is Me,” Joe shared with the audience, “We haven’t performed this song in close to a decade,” while Demi chimed in, “It might have been even longer.

Alongside Kevin, Nick played band members Jason and Nate in Camp Rock. Reflecting on their behind-the-scenes experience, Nick mentioned that it was Joe who initially landed the role, but somehow their father managed to secure additional roles for both of them in the film as well. Inviting everyone to take a nostalgic stroll with them, he announced the celebration of this cherished movie.
Apart from the enthusiastic fans, it was clear that Demi’s spouse, Jordan “Jutes” Lutes, was equally thrilled about the reunion. He posted a video on his Instagram Stories, capturing Demi making her grand entrance onto the stage amidst thunderous applause. Accompanying the post, he wrote, “Couldn’t be more proud … I love you sooo much baby, tagging Demi in the message.” Similarly, Joe and Demi expressed their excitement on social media platforms, mimicking “Wouldn’t Change a Thing” lyrics and even reenacting Debby Ryan’s iconic Disney Channel speech.

The unexpected events of the night didn’t end; later on, the Jonas family made an appearance on stage. This included parents Kevin Sr. and Denise Jonas, their younger brother Frankie, Kevin’s spouse Danielle, and their daughters Valentina and Alena. As a group, they performed the band’s popular 2007 song “When You Look Me in the Eyes.
Prior to embarking on their tour, the brothers had a conversation about their upcoming appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, scheduled for August 7. Kevin confessed that compiling the setlist was challenging, yet exciting because they could take breaks and appreciate each other’s contributions during those moments. Joe playfully commented on the breaks, suggesting that they were mainly for taking bathroom breaks.

Nick mused over their lengthy musical voyage, expressing astonishment that it’s been two decades since they began creating music. He admitted the task of encapsulating two decades into a single show was daunting, stating, “It seemed almost incomprehensible to condense twenty years of music into one performance.” However, he expressed satisfaction with the end product, noting that the selection of songs truly reflects their career and encompasses tunes crucial to their journey. Additionally, he hinted at some incredible special guests and shared his eagerness for the event.
This tour is happening after the launch of their recent album titled “Greetings from Your Hometown”. It’s evident that The Jonas Brothers are eager to commemorate two decades of their musical journey with their fans, in a grand fashion.
