Jon Xue Zhang Joins ‘Masters of the Universe’ as Ram-Man in Live-Action Epic!

The much-awaited ‘Masters of the Universe’ film is all set to breathe life into the cherished characters from Mattel’s popular series on the silver screen, with Travis Knight helming as director. Featuring an electrifying ensemble, the superhero flick boasts Nicholas Galitzine portraying Prince Adam/He-Man, Camila Mendes taking on Teela, and Jared Leto stepping into the role of the malevolent Skeletor.

Joining me in this grand saga is none other than Alison Brie and Idris Elba, lending their stellar talents to the storyline. Set to hit theaters on June 5, 2026, this film takes you on an exciting journey alongside Prince Adam, as he navigates his unexpected crash-landing on Earth and transforms into He-Man, the valiant protector of the planet Eternia.

According to the latest news from The Hollywood Reporter, it’s confirmed that Jon Xue Zhang will portray the character Ram-Man in the upcoming film, adding his talent to an already illustrious ensemble of actors.

As a cinephile, I’d say I’m all about Ram-Man – the mighty warrior who’s known for his knack of charging into foes and barriers with an armor that’s nothing short of formidable. Standing tall and muscular, he wears a helmet that shields most of his head, and let me tell you, loyalty? That’s his middle name! He stands firm by the side of He-Man and his comrades through thick and thin.

Jon Xue Zhang is both an actor and a stunt professional who’s made a name for himself in high-octane films such as “Kingsman: The Secret Service,” “Justice League,” and “Doctor Strange.” His expertise in martial arts and fight coordination makes him an ideal pick for action-heavy roles like Ram-Man.

Over the past decade, the “He-Man” film has undergone numerous transformations, involving various production studios, directors, and screenwriters. Since 2009, Sony Pictures has been in charge, experiencing several script revisions and director swaps, but the production has consistently encountered setbacks.

In the year 2022, Netflix secured the rights for a He-Man film and selected Kyle Allen to play the lead role. However, due to financial issues, they decided to halt production in 2023. Later on, in 2024, Amazon MGM Studios took over the project, with Travis Knight directing and Nicholas Galitzine cast as He-Man.

2025 saw the start of filming for the project in London, boasting an illustrious ensemble led by Jared Leto portraying Skeletor and Idris Elba stepping into the role of Man-At-Arms.
