‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ Receives Lower Audience Score Than Any DCEU Film: “More and more people kept leaving the theatre”

As a gamer who has seen his fair share of cinematic adaptations, both triumphant and disastrous, I must say that Todd Phillips’ “Joker: Folie à Deux” has undeniably taken the cake for one of the most confounding sequels in recent memory.

Frequently, it’s rare for a director to accomplish such an extraordinary deed – crafting one of the biggest-earning R-rated superhero flicks while also creating one of the most disappointing superhero movies in history.

Nevertheless, Todd Phillips encountered a contrasting outcome with his “Joker” series. The initial movie was a surprising hit, whereas its follow-up has fallen flat, marking a dramatic downturn that’s been rare in recent memory.

Worldwide, the movie titled “Joker: Folie à Deux” was released this Friday, but to put it mildly, it has not been warmly received. Both fans and critics seem to concur that the film is a flop, with its Rotten Tomatoes rating steadily decreasing as more reviews pour in.

At present, the film is receiving poor reviews from critics with a 33% rating, and audiences have given it a 34% positive response. Additionally, it holds a “D” CinemaScore, making it the lowest-rated superhero movie ever produced.

Compared to DCEU films, Joker 2 holds the lowest audience rating with a notable difference. Contrastingly, critics have been somewhat more forgiving. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has a score of 29%, followed by Suicide Squad at 26% and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom with a 33%.

From a gamer’s perspective, it looks like this high-budget movie is heading for a massive flop at the box office. With an enormous price tag of $200 million (that’s almost three times the cost of the first one), it only managed to rake in $7 million during domestic previews, which is almost half less than its predecessor’s opening numbers.

Forecasts indicate that it could possibly make approximately $50 million within its initial domestic box office weekend. Despite the upheaval, attendees of the premiere nights have been expressing their opinions on social media about their experiences.

Although it’s unusual, each musical segment in this movie seemed to cause more audience members to exit the theater as time went on.

Despite claims by many viewers that the movie’s music was responsible for its poor performance, both Lady Gaga and Todd Phillips firmly dispute this label, yet they characterize it as having strong musical elements.

After watching the movie, I am quite sure it’s a musical, although it does have some awkward moments.
