21-year-old JoJo Siwa, previously known for Dance Moms, unveiled her romantic relationship with fellow dancer Dakota Wilson on August 14 by uploading a picture of them together on Instagram. Additionally, she posted a heartwarming video clip on her Instagram Stories showing the couple embracing closely.
Right there on camera, in that dance studio, I was living my dreams, mirroring Dakota’s every move as she danced with passion. Then, something magical happened – she spun around, her eyes sparkling as she declared, “I have a girlfriend!” The room resonated with applause as JoJo and Dakota shared an elated hug, a testament to their newfound love.

JoJo also shared a congratulatory post from a fan page, which compared photos of herself and Dakayla embracing, accompanied by the caption, “I’m so pleased for them and I’m thrilled that they’re content in their relationship. @itsjojosiwa.”
Following the major unveiling, JoJo shared an image of them both with intertwined hands in an outdoor setting, accompanied by the caption, “A flawless day.” Similarly, Dakayla expressed her feelings on her personal Instagram story, describing it as “quite literally a flawless day.”
It’s unclear when exactly JoJo Siwa and Dakayla Wilson started dating, but recently, JoJo confirmed their weekend rendezvous. A TikTok video shared by JoJo showcases her taking a dance class from Wilson, who was the instructor in the clip.
“My girlfriend conducted a dance workshop, so I decided to take a break from being JoJo Siwa and helped her instead as her All Star Assistant,” she wrote on a TikTok video of us dancing. “@DAKAYLA WILSON pushed me beyond my limits for this, but it was all worth it.”
As a devoted fan, I’d like to share that I followed JoJo Siwa’s short-lived romance with TikTok star Avery Cyrus. Their relationship ended in December, after just three months together. JoJo announced their separation on her own TikTok account, making it unique by labeling it a ‘sorry for breaking up with you’ gift – quite creative, if you ask me! In the comments below her video, she explained that they had come to understand that they were happier as friends and were still figuring out what their relationship would look like moving forward.
To illustrate, Dakayla Wilson is under suspicion for maintaining a phony romantic connection with Anthony Curley, a contestant on the eighteenth season of So You Think You Can Dance.
