Paramount’s upcoming film, a new take on Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol directed by Ti West, has added two more well-known actors to its cast.
Johnny Depp will star as Ebenezer Scrooge in a new film, with Ian McKellen, Tramell Tillman, and Andrea Riseborough also joining the cast. The movie is scheduled to be released on November 13, 2026.
The film tells the story of Scrooge’s transformative journey, where he’s forced to face his past, present, and future, offering him a path to change. While reports indicate Tillman might portray the Ghost of Christmas Present, the role McKellen will play remains a secret.
Nathaniel Halpern penned the screenplay, and Emma Watts is the producer. Stephen Deuters and Jason Forman are executive producers, with Adam Bohling and David Reid also serving in that role.
This fresh adaptation offers a spooky and exciting reimagining of the traditional ghost story, featuring Johnny Depp as Scrooge alongside a strong ensemble cast. Audiences are eagerly anticipating director Ti West’s unique vision of Dickensian London and the story’s supernatural side.
