As an ardent fan who has grown up watching the magical world of Full House unfold, witnessing the bond between its cast members transcend the small screen and extend into real life is nothing short of heartwarming. John Stamos, the ever-reliable Uncle Jesse, vowing to stand by his friend Dave Coulier through his darkest days, is a testament to their enduring friendship that spans decades.
In a show of solidarity, John Stamos pledges to stand by his friend Dave Coulier during his challenging phase, as he has been diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma – a type of cancer. This beloved cast member from Full House is the one facing this health hurdle.
65-year-old Coulier shared about his recent cancer diagnosis, which was identified in October due to swollen lymph nodes caused by a respiratory illness. He further revealed to People on November 13 that he has been diagnosed with throat cancer. Shortly after, John Stamos, his friend and fellow cast member, expressed heartfelt sentiments through social media.
61-year-old Stamos posted images highlighting their long-standing, unwavering friendship. He labeled the post, “Brother since the start. Love you @dcoulier, and I’m with you every step of the way.” (Informal)
He posted a snap of himself tightly hugging Coulier before proceeding to reel back their memories of hanging out together since their Full House days, which aired between 1987 and 1995. He also shared beautiful moments with their late colleague Bob Saget, who died aged 65 in January 2022.
Stamos expressed his trust and backing towards Coulier, promising never to leave him during tough times in his life. In response, Melissa Bring, Dave Coulier’s partner, showed her gratitude via a comment, saying, “I love you PP – thank you for the continuous support and affection!!!
Coulier shared with the media that Stamos had phoned him, mentioning his plan to visit on the upcoming Saturday (November 16), a day after his chemotherapy session. According to Coulier, Stamos offered, “If you’d prefer to rest, I can simply stay by your side, or if you’d rather listen to music, chat, or anything else, feel free.” Coulier responded with admiration, saying, “That’s the action of a brother. That’s just pure brotherhood.
About his medical condition, he chose to discuss it with his Full House family, which includes Candace Cameron Bure, Andrea Barber, Jodie Sweetin, Lori Loughlin, Scott Weinger, and the show’s creator Jeff Franklin. He also shared with the media that each of the actors reacted swiftly when they learned about his cancer diagnosis; they all inquired about what they could do to help him.
Reflecting on the abundance of love he’s experienced, Dave Coulier acknowledged the enduring bond among the cast of their show, a bond that’s stood the test of time. The backing they’ve given him has been nothing short of incredible.
