Surrounded by loved ones, family, friends, and a sprinkle of Hollywood enchantment, Schneider and Sorvino’s romance continues to captivate.

About a month ago, John Schneider and Dee Dee Sorvino held their wedding celebration in Hollywood following their quick marriage in Las Vegas. The event kicked off with a glamorous red-carpet affair at the Hollywood Museum on August 1st. They had secretly tied the knot in Las Vegas on July 23rd, and it was at this venue where they first met approximately a year ago, before their relationship blossomed. At the time of their union, the Dukes of Hazzard actor was 64 years old.

At the gathering, people offered speeches and Zachary and Jessica Money played their father’s famous song “Let’s Make a Memory” along with “Two Tickets to Paradise.” Dee Dee Sorvino sported an orange headpiece, and Catherine Bach, who starred alongside Schneider on the show, was also in attendance. Their decision to marry came following the loss of their respective spouses; Schneider’s wife died from breast cancer in February 2023, while Sorvino’s husband passed away due to prostate cancer in July 2022. The press release mentioned that the actor had been dealing with health problems for quite some time prior to his passing.

As reported by PEOPLE, following Alicia’s passing, Schneider conveyed that he yearns for “every single thing” about her each and every day. Similarly, Mira Sorvino paid tribute to Paul, praising him as an exceptional actor and reminiscing about their shared life experiences.

Approximately several months prior to Schneider and Sorvino’s wedding, an investigation was launched by the Secret Service regarding remarks made by Schneider concerning President Joe Biden. These comments were posted on X (previously Twitter), where Schneider expressed disapproval of Trump’s presence at the inauguration, labeling it a potential danger to the nation. In reaction to Biden’s post, Schneider responded, “Mr. President, I believe you are guilty of treason and deserve public execution. The same applies to your son.” Later on, Schneider explained that he did not intend to issue a threat against the President.

5 months down the line, Schneider disclosed his relationship with Sorvino, describing it as “a miracle.” On the podcast “Grace Begins“, he expressed, “God sent a widower to a widow who understands. Since I was on the verge of giving up everything, I did.” He further added, “Then I encountered that eccentric woman over there at exactly the time when I had grown to detest the thought of dating or holding hands with anyone.”
