Lately, he has publicly shown his support for his wife, Chrissy Teigen, who has been courageously battling alcoholism. On her path to sobriety, author of Cravings, Chrissy Teigen, recently shared a post on social media about her experiences.
On May 16th, the world got a glimpse into my incredible journey through a heartfelt post by the author. That’s when my amazing husband, John Legend, showered her with praise for her unflinching honesty.
In her Instagram post, the All of Me singer commented, “Always proud of you.”
It’s worth noting that Chrissy Teigen didn’t just receive support from her husband. In fact, Demi Lovato, a well-known actress, also joined in and left supportive comments in the comment section of Chrissy as well.
The actress spoke up, saying, “Your sincerity and openness are truly admirable. It’s clear that growth, rather than perfection, is the key. Keep going at this phenomenal pace because I am incredibly proud of you!
Besides her statement, Jamie Pressley also expressed, “I can surely hear what you’re saying, and I’m filled with pride for you. You’ve been an old friend, and I adore you. The sincerity in your words is like a refreshing breeze.
Chrissy Teigen has four kids – Luna (aged 9), Miles (6 years old), Esti (2 years old), and Wren who is just 22 months old. She is a mother alongside John Legend, her partner.
In her May 16th post, Chissy admitted that following her four-year-long sobriety journey, she resumed consuming alcohol.
In the aforementioned post, the lady could also be seen holding a book, Quit Like a Woman.
She shared that Holly Whitaker significantly impacted her life and altered her viewpoint about the harmful effects of alcohol on health. However, she confessed that she had allowed alcohol to re-enter her life, disappointing many people, a fact that she feels quite intensely.
Despite her complicated journey towards sobriety, Chrissy is still optimistic.
