Legendary horror filmmaker John Carpenter has made a significant announcement: it’s his debut music residency! From October 24 to November 1, 2025, Carpenter will take the stage for four nights at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles, marking his return to live performances after seven years.

Pre-registered fans can purchase their tickets right now, while general ticket sales for everyone else will begin on Friday, January 31st.

Renowned for his memorable film contributions such as Halloween, The Thing, Big Trouble in Little China, and Escape from New York, Carpenter is additionally esteemed for his music. His Lost Themes album series, which fuses experimental synth-rock with his distinctive style, has received widespread praise from critics.

During this residency, John Carpenter will deliver a blend of his renowned movie soundtracks and compositions from his Lost Themes albums, joined by his son Cody Carpenter and frequent partner-in-creation Daniel Davies.

To mark the 10-year milestone of “Lost Themes“, the group is unveiling a deluxe version of the album, enriched with fresh artwork and two never-before-heard songs: “Dominator” and “Cruisin’ With Mr. Scratch”. This special edition can now be preordered.

A carpenter is collaborating with PLUS1 to contribute $2 from every ticket sold towards two charities: The Anti-Recidivism Coalition, an organization that assists incarcerated firefighters, and Best Friends Animal Society, which aids animals affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.

The carpenter expresses his own enthusiasm for the forthcoming performances, stating, “For years, I’ve been translating my dreams, nightmares, and visions into music. There’s a wealth of material to select from, so each evening of this event promises something fresh and unpredictable.
