John Boyega’s New Social Media Posts Fuel Superhero Movie Speculation (Again)

As a dedicated fan who has followed John Boyega’s career since his days as Finn in the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy, I must say that the actor’s recent moves have been quite intriguing. It seems he has developed a peculiar disdain for working with Disney, which, unfortunately, rules out any potential return to the Star Wars universe or a Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) debut.

John Boyega is widely recognized for his portrayal of Finn in the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy, a character that brought him international acclaim. However, his professional relationship with Disney was somewhat strained, leading Boyega to express a preference for avoiding future collaborations with the company.

It’s nearly unthinkable that he would rejoin the “Star Wars” series, yet fans dreamt he might play a part in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). However, it appears that Boyega is equally uninterested in this opportunity. Lately, when his name was suggested as a possible successor to Jonathan Majors as Kang, Boyega made it clear that he’s not interested in the role.

However, supporters remain hopeful as they speculate following recent Instagram updates. Despite lacking concrete evidence, they believe John Boyega might be gearing up for a superhero part.

Looking back at the year 2020, it was evident that John Boyega had no plans to rejoin the Star Wars series.

As a gamer, I can relate it like this: “You guys nailed the characters of Daisy Ridley and Adam Driver, no doubt about that. But when it came to Kelly Marie Tran and John Boyega, it felt like you were just winging it. So, what am I supposed to say? They want me to say ‘I loved being a part of it, it was an amazing experience,’ but not when the experience wasn’t great. They gave all the depth to Adam Driver and Daisy Ridley, let’s be honest, they know this as well as I do. I’m not revealing any secrets here.

In 2022, Boyega himself expressed interest in starring in an MCU movie, but it appears he’s not keen on collaborating with Disney.

Currently, Marvel isn’t on my radar. Instead, I’m drawn towards intricate projects… I wish to contribute my talents to independent films that offer unique and innovative concepts, as I understand it can be challenging to surpass the greatness of ‘Iron Man’ in that cinematic universe.

Meanwhile, these events essentially ended any opportunity for a traditional superhero introduction. However, recent Instagram posts and videos from Boyega have sparked discussions, and whispers about him taking on a superhero character are circulating again.

Currently, there’s no definite interpretation; John Boyega might just be focusing on fitness considering our existing knowledge. However, the enthusiastic fans speculate that he could be training for a superhero role. Given his history with Disney, it’s plausible that any potential superhero character would likely belong to the DC Universe. Let’s wait and see!
