He also appears to look down on scrawny scientist Edwin, considering him less masculine, while simultaneously flirting with Hannah, Hannah being Edwin’s partner. However, when danger arises, he shows no hesitation in leaving Hannah behind.

In Kodiak, there’s an overwhelming sense of a traditional macho demeanor, a character trait not commonly seen on Yellowjackets. Previously, Travis exhibited similar traits, but his time in the wilderness appears to have softened him significantly. Consequently, Kodiak’s aggressive, domineering behavior, his contempt for other men he perceives as weak, and his instant attraction towards the only woman present create a stark contrast on the series. As Lottie suggested, the wilderness seems to reject both Kodiak and his toxic masculinity. However, this raises the question: is Kodiak condemned? We secretly hope so… Yet, we also yearn for the team’s return home. If only the Yellowjackets could enjoy their freedom in a society free of prejudicial norms, yet still boasting modern conveniences like running water and an ample food supply.
