As a dedicated follower of Joe Manganiello‘s career and personal life, I can’t help but be excited for him as he embarks on the next chapter of his journey: fatherhood. The True Blood alum’s recent interview on the Podcrushed podcast revealed his long-held desire to become a father, and it’s clear that this dream is still very much alive for him.
Joe Manganiello is looking forward to becoming a father. The former True Blood star, who is now 47, expressed his eagerness for starting a family during an interview on the Podcrushed podcast with Penn Badgley, Nava Kaveli, and Sophie Ansari on July 24. Manganiello shared that having kids is a definite plan for him.
Manganiello shared his enjoyment of being the fun uncle to his two nieces and admitted that having children had always been a priority for him in any serious relationship. He explained, “I’ve always wanted to be a father,” even jokingly referring to himself as having “plenty of dad energy.”
“I think I have a lot to give in that department,” he added.
Joe Manganiello and his current girlfriend, Caitlin O’Connor, have discussed kids
According to reports, the two were compelled to discuss the matter due to Sofía Vergara’s divorce allegations against Manganiello. After their separation, Vergara, known for her role in Modern Family, believed that the reason for their marriage ending was because her ex-husband wanted children while she did not.
“Vergara, who is 52 years old, expressed in an interview with El País last January that she didn’t desire to become a mother later in life. She believed it wasn’t right for the child and showed respect towards those who choose this path, but it was no longer an option for her. Vergara is already a proud mother of a 32-year-old son named Manolo, whom she had with her high school sweetheart.”
Based on information from People’s source, Joe and Caitlin were compelled to address their feelings about having children due to Sofia’s allegations suggesting that Joe entered his relationship with Caitlin, 34, solely for the purpose of having kids. However, it was emphasized by the source that Sofia would never engage in such a relationship.
Joe Manganiello disputed Sofía Vergara’s reason for their split
About two weeks ago, the host of Deal or No Deal Island, in an interview with Men’s Journal, shared that he and Vergara had attempted to have a baby together during their first one and a half years of dating. They also had a significant discussion about having more children when they first started going out. The actor mentioned that he was supportive of his ex-wife’s decision not to want more kids.
Manganiello expressed that he wouldn’t object to having kids someday, but he never put pressure on Vergara or demanded that she undergo any risky procedures for their sake.
The duo were married for seven years before their split in July 2023.
