On April 24, Joe Jonas stepped away from the digital noise to unveil his fresh single titled “Heart by Heart” in an intimate, phone-free concert at New York City’s Bleecker Street Bar. Before the global launch at midnight, he played the song live for a select audience of friends and enthusiasts.
Jonas’s “no-phones” policy coincided with his growing awareness of his own screen habits, according to People. Being a self-proclaimed heavy internet user, the 35-year-old singer appreciated the opportunity to disconnect and cultivate a stronger bond with those attending his performance. The aim was to be fully engaged, and visitors were asked not to record or share videos of the show on social media during certain segments.
He mentioned that when he’s off his phone for a while, he occasionally feels anxious – he admitted this happens to him. When he returns, he realizes everything is okay, the world continues spinning, and everyone is fine.
Jonas played “Heart by Heart” at the same spot; this is the third single off his upcoming solo LP titled “Music for People Who Believe in Love.” He expressed feelings of relief and excitement as he had been holding onto the music for nearly a year before releasing it to the public.
Regarding those who choose to live without constant phone use, he mused, “I often find myself trapped in an endless cycle of mindless scrolling… It’s a gentle nudge to cherish the moments with your loved ones. Consider putting your phone aside for a while and spending quality time instead.” He also acknowledged, “I don’t blame them for that either.
On May 23rd, the new album titled “Music for Those who Embrace Love” hits the shelves. This is Joe Jonas’ second solo album since he released “Fastlife” back in 2011.
