Joe Biden Shares A Statement Announcing That He Would Pardon His Son Hunter On Gun And Tax Charges

As a dedicated follower of events unfolding in the White House, I find myself deeply moved by President Joe Biden‘s recent statement regarding his son Hunter. As someone who has spent decades navigating the complexities of American politics and the justice system, I can appreciate the unique challenges that come with being both a parent and a leader.

As an over-the-moon admirer, I can’t help but express my thoughts on the matter: On a chilly Sunday in December 1st, Joe Biden made it abundantly clear why he might grant his son, Hunter, a pardon for the alleged gun possession and tax offenses that have been brought to light. His statement was as transparent as the winter day itself.

According to an article from People magazine, Biden expressed his faith in the fairness of our legal system. However, he’s struggled with that belief as well. He strongly feels that raw politics have tainted this process, resulting in a miscarriage of justice. Once he made this decision over the weekend, there was no point in postponing it any longer.

In his subsequent writing, he emphasized that since he assumed office, he had pledged to stay out of the Justice Department’s deliberations. Remarkably, he adhered to this commitment, despite observing what he perceived as the targeted and unjust prosecution of Hunter.

Biden pointed out that it’s rare for an individual to be charged with a felony solely due to the way they completed a firearm application, except in cases where there are additional factors such as repeated purchases, criminal history, or being a straw purchaser who buys guns for others.

He mentioned that non-criminal resolutions are usually given to those who paid back their taxes late with penalties and interest after falling behind because of severe addiction, but his son received a different treatment.

Biden also wrote that the accusations in this matter emerged following a series of political adversaries in Congress initiating them, with the intent to undermine him and obstruct his presidential campaign.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: “I noted that the carefully negotiated plea bargain, endorsed by the Department of Justice, fell apart in the courtroom. Interestingly, some of my political adversaries in Congress claimed responsibility for exerting political pressure on the process. If the plea deal had stood, it would have been a just and reasonable resolution for the cases at hand.

He wrote that no person who is reasonable looks at the facts of this case and can come to any other conclusion than that his son was singled out only because he is his son, and that is not correct.

Biden emphasized that despite persistent assaults and targeted prosecution, efforts were made to undermine his son, who has remained sober for over five years. He suggested that in attempting to weaken Hunter, they aimed to weaken him as well, with no indication that such attempts would cease. He asserted, “This must stop.” Biden expressed his hope that Americans could comprehend the motivation behind his decision.

For those who are not familiar with the situation, in Hunter Biden’s gun case, a Delaware jury found him guilty of three charges that were connected to his alleged illegal acquisition and possession of a firearm in 2018. At that time, it was reported by People magazine that he had an addiction to narcotics in July.

According to reports, Hunter confessed in September to the tax offenses, claiming that he failed to pay approximately $1.4 million in taxes and instead splurged on extravagant items such as luxury vehicles, drugs, hotel stays, and other lavish expenses.
