On the last day of MegaCon, we saw Jim Lee, the renowned artist and head of DC Comics, signing comics and talking with fans in a hotel lobby. Artist Alexander Lozano was with him, also interacting with attendees.
The unexpected event happened outside the main convention area, which has become a signature part of what people expect at MegaCon.
While Lee chatted with a fan and sketched on a Fantastic Four comic book, Lozano signed copies of the foil variant cover for DC’s Supergirl Next Door #1 (2026). Their team helped by passing the books back and forth across a table piled high with comics.

Jim Lee And Alexander Lozano Draw A Crowd
The video captures fans surrounding a table where Lee and Lozano were signing books. Lozano primarily focused on signing different versions of the Supergirl comic, while Lee took the time to chat with one of the fans.

Jim Lee and Alexander Lozano were setting out comics in the lobby, which gave fans who spotted them – including us! – a chance to say hello and get a quick glimpse.

Supergirl Cover Gets Attention
The comic Alexander Lozano was signing was DC’s Supergirl Next Door (2026) #1 foil variant cover.
I just checked out the first issue of Supergirl Next Door, and it’s a really fun Valentine’s Day special! It’s basically a romantic comedy with Kara front and center, and it’s hilarious to see all these heroes and villains falling for each other.

Jim Lee Also Signs A Fantastic Four Blank Variant
So, beyond sketching for the Supergirl fans, Jim Lee was also doing commissions on a blank variant cover of Fantastic Four. It was awesome to see him tackle both – a real treat for comic book lovers like me!
Lee mentioned he’ll be spending time in Orlando, checking out Animal Kingdom and Disney. He then playfully quizzed a fan about comic book artists, jokingly saying, “No one cares about my knowledge,” and laughed.

A Final-Day MegaCon Surprise
MegaCon is known for its popular guests and crowded halls, but it’s the unexpected moments – like a chance encounter in the hotel lobby – that truly make the last day special. Sometimes, these spontaneous happenings are just as exciting as the official events inside the convention center.
Seeing Jim Lee and Alexander Lozano sign comics at the convention really highlighted how much of the experience is about chance encounters and being in the right place at the right time for fans.
