Despite speculation in 2023 about Jim Carrey returning to his iconic green character, reports suggest that his representative has debunked these rumors. Yet, Carrey himself expressed pride at the film’s continued popularity during holiday seasons and referred to it as a magical experience, acknowledging that playing the role had its physical challenges for him.

He told Entertainment Tonight, “When I sit at home and I put the TV on and I see Grinch up there being viewed by everybody every Christmas, it’s so gratifying. It’s unbelievable. There really is, truly, incredible magic in the universe.”
