Jesy Nelson Breaks Down in Tears Sharing Pregnancy Complications with Identical Twins; All That We Know

Jesy Nelson, ex-member of the group Little Mix, has disclosed that she’s encountering difficulties during her pregnancy with identical twins. In a heartfelt Instagram post, she unveiled that she was diagnosed with pre-twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS). This health issue arises when identical twins share a placenta, potentially causing imbalanced blood circulation and threats to both infants.

Jesy Nelson publicly discussed the difficulties she and her partner, Zion Foster, encounter in their twin pregnancy journey. They are thrilled about welcoming identical twins, but the experience has brought unforeseen challenges along the way.

Jesy openly disclosed that they aimed to maintain transparency by sharing their journey and keeping followers updated on the challenges they’ve faced.

Jesy explained the health complications associated with carrying multiple fetuses who share a single placenta – a condition known as monochorionic-diamniotic twins. Sharing one placenta makes it more likely that one baby might receive an excessive amount of nutrients, potentially leading to life-threatening conditions for the other twin.

She mentioned that right now, her condition is being carefully watched as it’s in an early stage of Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS). This means she needs to undergo ultrasound scans twice a week. Unfortunately, each time she gets scanned, the situation seems to worsen slightly, but she and her team are keeping their fingers crossed for a positive outcome.

I’d like to share an experience from my own journey. During my pregnancy, I was unaware of the potential risks associated with it, specifically Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS). Now, looking back, I feel compelled to spread awareness about this condition, as it carries a 50/50 survival rate for both twins if left untreated.

Jesy and Zion have experienced ups and downs in their relationship since it became public knowledge in January 2023 (as reported by Daily Mail). They parted ways in August 2023 but eventually rekindled their romance. The news of their pregnancy took fans by surprise, given their past breakups.

Jesy Nelson has been candid about the hardships of her pregnancy, revealing that she’s been experiencing persistent nausea. When a fan inquired about her journey, she admitted that carrying twins has left her feeling queasy constantly. Yet, even amidst the discomfort, she expressed gratitude for the experience.

Additionally, she expressed her immediate feelings upon discovering she was carrying twins. “Extremely surprised… it wasn’t something we had anticipated, but I immediately felt joy the moment I realized,” she shared.

Jesy intends to regularly share updates about her pregnancy experiences with her fans. Alongside Zion, they remain optimistic and upbeat, facing any difficulties that come their way.
