Jesse Garcia and Will Yun Lee have recently joined the cast of Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film titled “The Odyssey”. This production is being handled by Universal, and while the specific roles these actors will play are not yet revealed, this move signifies a significant advancement in their careers.
This film, captured using cutting-edge Imax technology, draws inspiration from the epic poem by Homer, the ancient Greek poet. The narrative unfolds around the character of Odysseus, the monarch of Ithaca, who embarks on a perilous voyage back home following the Trojan War. Throughout his journey, he encounters formidable obstacles such as the fearsome Cyclops and deceitful Sirens, all in his quest to be reunited with his beloved wife, Penelope.
This illustrious team of actors boasts the presence of Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Benny Safdie, and Charlize Theron. In addition to them, Himesh Patel, Elliot Page, Bill Irwin, and Samantha Morton will also make appearances in the film.
The film will premiere at IMAX cinemas on July 17, 2026, a date that’s proven successful for Christopher Nolan’s past blockbusters such as “The Dark Knight” and “Dunkirk.
