As a longtime fan of both Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, witnessing their recent meeting to discuss their divorce has been a rollercoaster of emotions for me. It’s like watching two of my favorite stars dance around an emotional minefield, hoping they find their way back to harmony.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck recently held a meeting to sort out their divorce terms, which is being managed by renowned celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser, often referred to as the “Disso Queen.” This meeting took place on Monday morning, July 23rd, at their joint Los Angeles office, where each maintains a private workspace.
According to Page Six, the Atlas celebrity, aged 55, arrived alone at the location, donning a cream midi skirt and a coordinating long-sleeve top. Wasser, who acted as Affleck’s legal representative during his 2018 divorce from Jennifer Garner, arrived at approximately the same time as Lopez, dressed in a short striped dress and heels. Although photographs did not capture Affleck arriving at his office, his car was found parked in its designated space within the building, indicating his presence inside.
When Lopez initiated divorce proceedings from Affleck on August 20, which coincided with the second anniversary of their wedding in Georgia, it was confirmed by TMZ that they lacked a prenuptial agreement. This could potentially lead to an unpleasant divorce process. Nevertheless, aiming to steer clear of public disagreements, sources claim that Bennifer have been collaborating with Wasser for several months, even before the singer-actress made the decision to end their marriage officially.
As a lifestyle expert, let me shed some light on a current topic that’s sparking quite a buzz. When it comes to Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, one area where their paths cross is through his production company, Artists Equity, co-founded with close friend Matt Damon in 2022. Notably, Jenny From the Block has graced our screens in one of its recent productions, “Unstoppable,” and will soon be seen in “Kiss of the Spiderwoman.” At present, it appears they are working diligently to sort out any compensation details regarding these collaborative projects.
In her divorce papers filed last month, Lopez stated that she was unaware of the assets shared with Affleck at the time. Since they didn’t have a prenuptial agreement, any income or possessions, such as their $68 million Beverly Hills house, are classified as community property, regardless of who actually paid for the purchase.
From July 2022 through August, Lopez introduced Delola cocktail brand and was involved in or responsible for at least four films. Affleck also worked on a comparable number of projects during their marriage. Moreover, both are said to have amassed substantial wealth from endorsements and various income streams. The court will need to equitably distribute all these assets between them.
Regardless of their previous divorce, Ben and Jennifer reconnected on two occasions last week for the well-being of their children, who seem to have a strong relationship. At one family gathering, it was reported that Affleck found it difficult to resist his feelings towards Lopez. The former couple, as per Page Six, were even spotted holding hands and exchanging kisses.
