A nod to the past
In one scene, Deadpool (portrayed by Reynolds) expresses compassion towards fallen Marvel characters. When he mentions Daredevil, Garner’s Elektra nonchalantly responds with “Oh, it’s no big deal.” This lighthearted exchange alludes to her past connection with Affleck, who previously played Daredevil.
A memory from ancient times
In the year 2003, Jennifer Garner made her debut as Elektra in the Daredevil film, starring Ben Affleck. Two years later, in 2005, she reprised this role in a standalone movie titled “Elektra.” Recently, after almost twenty years, it was revealed that Garner would once again step into the shoes of Elektra, this time appearing in the Deadpool and Wolverine project.
More recently, Elektra’s portrayer Garner opened up in an interview about her experiences, discussing the challenges she faced with fitting into snug costumes and enduring rigorous martial arts instruction.
She shared that getting in and out of the leather pants required being cut and sewn each time she needed to use the restroom. Despite this challenge, she remained committed to fulfilling the physical demands of the role.

Garner is recognized for her appearances in other action films including “The Kingdom” (2007) and “Peppermint” (2018). She yearns for additional opportunities to portray action characters, as she shared with Entertainment Weekly, “I wanted to take on something more physically demanding, but the parts presented to me didn’t carry enough tension.”
