As a lifestyle expert with decades of experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel deeply moved by Jennifer Aniston‘s tribute to her late friend Matthew Perry. The heartfelt images from the Friends set serve as a poignant reminder of the camaraderie and shared memories that we cherish in life.
Jennifer Aniston paid tribute to her Friends co-star, Matthew Perry, on the one-year anniversary of his passing. In a touching Instagram post, she simply wrote “1 year,” accompanied by a heart symbol bandaged and a dove emoji. These symbols are commonly used to remember those who have passed. The post also linked to the Matthew Perry Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping individuals battling addiction, which was established in Perry’s name.
55-year-old Aniston reminisced in old photos she posted, featuring emotional scenes from the Friends set. One picture showed her alongside Perry and co-stars Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer.
On October 28, 2023, Perry was discovered deceased in the bathtub of his residence in Los Angeles. An autopsy later disclosed that his death was due to an overdose of ketamine, along with other contributing factors. Subsequently, five people have been indicted for their role in the unfortunate and premature demise of Perry, among them is Dr. Mark Chavez from California, who admitted guilt earlier this month for conspiring to distribute the drug to Perry.
In this case, Keith Morrison expressed his expectation and belief to Savannah Guthrie during their joint interview on October 25th, stating that those involved in the illegal drug trade, which has lethal consequences, should be aware of the impending consequences. He emphasized that regardless of one’s professional background, they will face justice eventually, as he assertively declared.
At the same time, Suzanne Morrison, Perry’s mom, voiced her relief as charges were filed in the case.
Apart from Dr. Chavez, Dr. Salvador Plasencia, accused of giving drugs to Perry, and Jasveen Sangha, also known as the Ketamine Queen, a drug dealer, are facing charges; they both have pleaded not guilty. Kenneth Iwamasa, Perry’s live-in assistant, and Erik Fleming, a friend of Perry’s, on the other hand, have admitted guilt in ketamine-related cases and are now waiting for their sentences.
During an interview on NBC last week, Suzanne discussed one of her last talks with Perry, emphasizing a feeling of impending doom regarding his demise. She remembered that just prior to his passing, Perry expressed his affection for her, a moment she later understood as a foreshadowing event.
If you’re aware that someone is battling alcohol or drug addiction, consider contacting the relevant authorities to report the situation. Various hotlines are at your disposal to assist with such matters.
