Jay Leno Guest Stars in Tim Allen and Kat Dennings’ Shifting Gears 3 Months After Fall Injury

Jay Leno is set to join Tim Allen on the show Shifting Gears, approximately three months following his recovery from a fall.

It has been verified that Jay Leno is set to make a special appearance on the March 12 installment of the popular father-daughter sitcom, portraying himself. A sneak peek at the episode depicts Leno and Allen sharing a wide grin in front of an iconic car.

After a fall down a steep hill while heading to a restaurant in November, Leno sustained a broken wrist, lost a fingernail, and experienced severe bruising. As reported by Inside Edition, his return follows this accident. Later on, he clarified to TMZ about the incident.

As a dedicated follower without a car, I had to embark on a brisk walk for approximately a mile and a half to reach the restaurant, which wasn’t as daunting as it seemed due to the sight of a gentle hill that stood about 60-70 feet tall. Intrigued by its appearance, I decided to descend the slope, only to find myself tumbling head over heels down the incline – boom, boom, boom! Upon reaching the bottom, I encountered an abrupt halt as my head struck a rock, and a jolt to my eye when a stray pebble found its way into my vision. This is the amusing account I shared with TMZ, as told by Leno himself.

Previously, Leno and Allen teamed up on the show “Last Man Standing,” with Leno portraying a character who had retired from being an automotive mechanic.

In the episode’s official summary, it is stated that “Riley (Kat Dennings) is taken aback when she discovers weed candies in Carter’s (Maxwell Simkins) possessions. This unexpectedly leads to guidance from Matt (Allen). On the other hand, Eve unwittingly gets Gabriel (Seann William Scott) and Stitch (Daryl Mitchell) into trouble when she asks them to contribute to a charity auction.

On the 12th of next month, I can hardly contain my excitement! It’s like a dream come true for me as a die-hard fan, because none other than Tim Allen, who I’ve adored since his days on Jay Leno’s Garage, is reuniting with an old friend on the comedy scene. Can’t wait to see them together again!

Shifting Gears airs on ABC and streams on Hulu.
