On an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, during promotions for the upcoming Minecraft film, Jimmy highlighted that Jason Momoa is among the rare actors who has portrayed both a comic book hero and a villain in different roles.

What is Supergirl about?

The movie partially draws inspiration from the 2022 comic book “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow,” which was beautifully illustrated by Bilquis Evely.

The plot follows Ruthye Knoll, a youthful extraterrestrial combatant, as she embarks on a cosmic adventure alongside Supergirl. Their objective is to track down Krem of the Yellow Hills, a malevolent character who was responsible for Ruthye’s father’s demise. It has been hinted that Krypto, who makes his debut in James Gunn’s adaptation of Superman this summer, will play a part in these events.

At a DC panel event in 2023, Gunn explained the contrast between Superman, who was nurtured by loving parents on Earth since infancy, and Supergirl, who was born and raised on a distant planet, Krypton. For her first 14 years, she witnessed countless brutal deaths. When she arrived on Earth as a young girl, she was significantly tougher than the usual portrayal of Supergirl.
