The third season of “The White Lotus” has sparked plenty of conversation online, not just about its compelling plot but also whispers of tension among its actors. Recently, actor Jason Isaacs seems to be adding fuel to the rumors by posting a selfie with fellow cast member Walton Goggins along with a humorous caption.
As I navigated through my recent flight, it appeared that I serendipitously crossed paths with none other than the talented actors, Issac and Goggins. The Peter Pan actor graciously captured this chance encounter and generously shared a couple of snapshots on his Instagram account, featuring yours truly alongside the Fallout star. In the first image, we both offered warm smiles for the camera, while in the second photograph, I found myself planting a friendly kiss on my HBO show co-star’s forehead. It was an unforgettable moment shared between colleagues and friends!
He titled the photo, “Can you figure out who was on my flight? Hello, sharp-eyed detectives on the internet! Any signs of trouble here?!! #RickIsBack!!!!
In a different turn of events, the actor didn’t just mention Goggins and the HBO show’s page in his post; he also tagged Duke University’s Instagram account. This suggests a possible connection to the controversy that arose when the university criticized the series for using their T-shirt design.
To clarify for those unfamiliar, the character Tim Ratliff, portrayed by Isaac, considers suicide in the show. During this particular scene, he is dressed in a Duke t-shirt and is depicted with a gun pointed at his own head.
According to a representative from Durham University, NC, they expressed concern to The New York Times that the show had taken Tim’s character, a Duke alumnus in the series, too far from the university’s values and identity, as reported by People magazine.
Instead, let’s say: Contrary to what Duke University stated, Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe (Issac) publicly disagreed with their viewpoint. According to reports, he responded by wearing a shirt featuring Duke’s mascot, the Blue Devil, as a sign of solidarity.
In reference to the “meat” mentioned in Isaac’s recent post’s caption, it’s possible that he could have been alluding to rumors of strained relations between Anthony Michael Hall’s character (Goggins) and his co-star, Aimee Lou Wood, on set.
