Jamie Lee Curtis SHADES Paparazzi For ‘Intrusion’ And Leaking Images From Freakier Friday Set

As a lifelong fan of Jamie Lee Curtis and her illustrious career spanning decades, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgic excitement when it comes to the upcoming sequel of Freaky Friday. The original film holds a special place in my heart, having grown up watching it countless times, and the prospect of seeing Curtis and Lindsey Lohan reunite for this long-awaited follow-up is simply thrilling!

As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it as: “In my professional opinion, I subtly called out the paparazzi for their persistent intrusion on the set of my upcoming movie ‘Freaky Friday.’ I believe they were trying to maintain a veil of secrecy around the film until its release. However, let me clarify and playfully hint to the media that no significant plot or storyline was exposed through the leaked photos. In fact, I’m sharing an exclusive behind-the-scenes shot from the set myself!”

Actress from Everything Everywhere All At Once, shared an Instagram photo with her co-star Lindsey Lohan, who she worked with again for the sequel since their collaboration in 2003’s Freaky Friday. Regarding a paparazzi photograph that was published by other media outlets and invaded the creative filmmaking process, she acknowledged it by saying, “Since this picture has already been posted elsewhere, I will make use of it as an opportunity to address its intrusion into our movie-making creativity.”

The actress disclosed that the group put tremendous effort into maintaining the tale as both a secret and a private matter until its debut. However, she pointed out, “Occasionally, a snapshot leaks, yet it doesn’t provide any insights about the narrative or the characters’ circumstances.”

In the image, Lohan and Lee Curtis are seen beaming broadly and embracing, seemingly on a beach. Regarding the photo, she stated that it encapsulated the “happiness and excitement” they experienced during the filming of their forthcoming production.

In a cryptic manner, Lee Curtis concluded her post by assuring everyone a delightful time at the cinema when they watch Freaky Friday. She described this communal activity as our shared escape into darkness where we indulge in popcorn and sweets, share laughter and tears together. Until we meet again there…

In the thrill of my fandom, let me share that Freaky Friday’s sequel is finally here, a long-awaited gem from the Disney vault! This time around, it brings back the unforgettable characters Anna and Tess, played by the brilliant Lindsay Lohan (remember Mean Girls?), who happens to be both a mother and daughter. The magic unfolds when they find themselves in a peculiar twist involving a fortuitous fortune cookie, leading them to live life from each other’s perspectives.

The movie is inspired by Mary Rodgers’ self-titled children’s book, an earlier adaptation of which was a hit film in 1976 starring Barbara Harris and Jodie Foster. In the upcoming sequel directed by Nisha Ganatra, set after the confusion of body-swapping incidents, Anna now has a daughter, raising the question: will history mirror itself?

Besides several familiar faces like Chad Michael Murray, Mark Harmon, Christina Vidal Michell, and others, fresh talents such as Manny Jacinto, Sophia Hammons, Julia Butters, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, and Jordan E. Cooper are joining the production to add their unique charm to the movie.

Freakier Friday will hit the theaters sometime in 2025.
