It appears that Jamie Lee Curtis is focusing her attention effectively on what matters most to her, as evidenced by her discussion of her hopes for the past and future in the year 2025.
During a chat with People magazine on a cold Friday in January, specifically at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in California, Curtis was questioned about something she’d want to leave from the previous year. In response, she expressed “disappointment.
The seasoned celebrity disclosed that many people have faced challenges this past year. She hinted at anticipating a promising future and expressing optimism, or “hope”, for the current year.
It appears that the actress is set for a significant year, as there are plans for her to reunite with Curtis and Lindsay Lohan for the sequel to Freaky Friday, titled Freakier Friday. The original movie was released in 2003.
During her appearance on Today in December, Curtis discussed the anticipations for the upcoming segment of the previously mentioned project. According to Entertainment Weekly, the movie will primarily revolve around Curtis’s character and Lohan’s, as well as the storyline involving two teenage girls swapping bodies.
During our chat today, Curtis mentioned that they couldn’t start work on the film until now because Lindsay Lohan needed to be old enough to play a 15-year-old. He also shared that this means she has a 15-year-old, which makes him a grandparent.
Additionally, she mentioned that the film is expected to evoke a strong sense of “nostalgia,” making fans eagerly anticipate its release. She expressed that it ticks all the boxes one could wish for and, “It carries the nostalgia of the original movie with Pink Slip and Chad Michael Murray.
Freakier Friday is reportedly slated to hit theatres in August 2025.
