As a keen follower, I’ve noticed an overflow of responses concerning the latest revelations about James Gunn‘s upcoming Superman movie. Frankly, many comments have been less than favorable. However, one can’t help but wonder if fans are jumping to conclusions before actually watching the film itself?
Note: Spoilers follow.

What is the leak?
It’s now being claimed as authentic because YouTuber Nerdrotic shared on X (previously Twitter) that the information provided is accurate.
According to the leak:
In the film, Superman experiences annoyance due to negative comments on social media, particularly the hashtag #SuperShit, which repeatedly irks him. Simultaneously, in Lex’s alternate dimension, hordes of monkeys with mutated abilities are depicted frantically typing on keyboards, overwhelming social media with hostile messages directed towards Superman.
James Gunn’s revenge on the internet
The responses have not been favorable, perhaps, due to the impression that “The Message” will be penned by James Gunn, much like how he handled the Creature Commandos.
No matter your political stance, it’s safe to say we all recognize that when an agenda overshadows a narrative, the quality of the narrative often diminishes.
The leak suggests that James Gunn’s actions might stem from a long-standing grudge, dating back to his dismissal by Disney/Marvel seven years ago. His portrayal of Superman could be seen as a means to retaliate against conservative groups.
In “Creature Commandos,” Gunn inserted an Incel army, which seemed completely out of place within the narrative’s context. It was clear that this move was intended as a jab at a specific fan group. This much is undeniable.
With Superman – a character much more famous than an unseen DC animated series – it appears that Gunn is persisting with a narrative that seems to be driven by personal agendas and lacks coherence. One might question why Lex Luthor would require an army of monkey troll mutants when he could simply use robots, which do indeed exist (interestingly, Zack Snyder has been criticized for using bots, and now the Snyder supporters are expressing their disapproval towards Gunn’s involvement in DC).
Best joke of the movie?
Perhaps, ViewerAnon, who’s known for sharing insights occasionally, suggests that we might have misinterpreted the situation. They claim it was all intended as a joke.
Friends, the “SuperStupid” gag (please only look it up if you’re already familiar with it) is considered one of the funniest moments in the film. Even those who weren’t fond of the movie have praised its punchline as exceptional. Be sure to watch the movie when it releases.
I shared my opinion about a leaked scene from Superman on Facebook. Although I haven’t watched the movie yet, I’ve heard good things about it from those involved in its production. However, I can’t seem to find the leak amusing at all. To be honest, I think it’s really stupid and over-the-top. Frankly, I’m fed up with all the nonsense. It’s been going on for far too long now and has ruined just about everything.
