On Sunday, James Gunn extends an invitation to fans, encouraging them not to confuse it with the Super Bowl. Instead, they can look forward to catching a glimpse of the upcoming Superman film during the Puppy Bowl event.
When is the Puppy Bowl?
The adorable Puppy Bowl is scheduled for February 9th, which happens to be Super Bowl Sunday. This heartwarming event begins at 2pm Eastern Time or 11am Pacific Time and can be watched on Animal Planet, Discovery, TBS, and TruTV before the main football game.

What is the Puppy Bowl?
The occasion features puppies engaging in a game similar to “Football,” with one fortunate pup receiving the “Krypto Super Play” recognition.
Each year, the Puppy Bowl airs as a television special showcasing delightful puppies in a fun, football-inspired environment. The “game” involves puppies playing around on a miniature field styled like a football stadium, where they chase toys and each other. A touchdown occurs when a puppy carries a toy into the end zone (believe it or not).
Why no Superman Super Bowl trailer?
In terms of costing more than $8 million for a thirty-second advertisement, David Zaslav was not prepared to allow Gunn to unveil the Superman trailer during the Super Bowl. As far as I can recall, Warner Bros. has never used the Super Bowl for trailers in the past. Even blockbusters like the Harry Potter series and Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight films didn’t have Super Bowl trailers, though Batman Begins did back in 2005, if my memory serves me right.
If you love dogs and similar pets, then you might find the Puppy Bowl entertaining. Moreover, it seems that there will be fresh Superman clips featuring Krypto. Check out the latest preview down below.
