James Gunn recently explained what’s happening with the upcoming Jimmy Olsen TV show and confirmed that a rumored title was incorrect.
Gunn Denies “DC Crime” Title
According to a report from Deadline about a potential spin-off series starring Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, the show was tentatively titled “DC Crime.” However, James Gunn quickly clarified on Threads that this wasn’t the correct title.
Just to let you know, a project called ‘DC Crime’ has never been in development, not even temporarily. I’m not sure where that name originated, but it’s strange.
A fan then asked if this meant the entire project was fake or only the title. Gunn replied:
“Title.”

The upcoming Jimmy Olsen show is officially happening, and it will be created by the team behind American Vandal. However, the title that was previously rumored is incorrect.

Jimmy Olsen Series Moving Forward
The first season will focus on the villain Gorilla Grodd, and photographer Billy Gisondo will reprise his role from the Daily Planet. James Gunn and Peter Safran are overseeing the project as executive producers.
David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan are said to be not appearing in the series.
Just as the news about a Jimmy Olsen show was revealed, DC also announced a series based on V for Vendetta, with James Gunn as a producer.
