James Gunn Holding Private Press Event: Zack Snyder Back At DC Speculated

After yesterdays excitement caused by James Gunn sharing a picture with Zack Snyder on social media, its being reported that he’s hosting a private press gathering now.

According to Grace Randolph, a private event has been conducted in secrecy, and it’s expected that the official announcement will be made public next week.

What could the news be?

It seems I’ve recently speculated on potential developments regarding DC Studios, but given the recent confirmation of a major press event taking place, my guess is becoming stronger that Zack Snyder may be returning to DC.

Prior to the media event’s announcement, I had already contacted my sources in Washington. Yet, just like Randolph, I won’t be the one to leak information prematurely. That being said, it’s not certain that others won’t keep things confidential either.

It’s possible that Zack Snyder may rejoin DC for a fresh project, with rumors suggesting he’ll bring Frank Miller’s “The Dark Knight Returns” to life. Notably, sources indicate that Snyder is always welcome back, and it’s known that he has a close relationship with James Gunn.

It’s quite likely that Snyder will join the DC Studios executive team in a producing or executive producer role, similar to Nolan before him. Given the complexity of managing both creative and business aspects, I suspect Gunn is discovering just how challenging it can be, so Snyder could potentially take on a supervisory position to help out.

It has been shared with me that Zack’s visual effects team is currently assisting on Gunn’s Superman project. Snyder’s crew previously contributed to the initial Wonder Woman film, and I’ve also heard that when Zack was on set, he lent a hand to Patty Jenkins in directing certain scenes.
