James Bond Star Naomie Harris Says She’s the ‘Last Person to Know Any Piece of Information’ Related to Franchise Because Producers Don’t Trust Her

As an ardent fan who has lived through the thrilling escapades of James Bond alongside Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, I must say her candid revelations about the franchise have only added to my anticipation. Her life experiences on the set of the iconic series, from Skyfall to No Time to Die, have given us a sense of continuity that we crave in this ever-wandering world of cinema.

It appears that Naomie Harris, known for her roles in numerous James Bond films with Daniel Craig, may struggle with keeping plot secrets confidential.

The well-known actress, known for her notable performances in films like “Rampage” and the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series, has shared insights about her lack of knowledge regarding upcoming James Bond movies.

Currently, on The Jess Cagle Show at SiriusXM, Harris expressed her longing for involvement in the James Bond world once more. Yet, she mentioned that she remains unaware of future plans for the series.

Naomie Harris mentioned that she’s completely clueless about where the show’s creators are taking things. She admitted that she’s really happy not to know, as it would be a risk for her to let something slip if she did. So they keep her in the dark, which is just fine by her.

During the podcast discussion, Harris mentioned that the show’s producers perceive her as the “weakest link” among them, and she also shared that she tends to be the last one informed about any new details.

Discussing her acting career, she is recognized for portraying Moneypenny alongside Daniel Craig in movies like Skyfall (2012), Spectre from 2015, and the most recent one, No Time to Die which was released in 2021.

Later on, Harris expressed her longing for reprising her role, as being an actor or actress in the film industry can feel like a nomadic lifestyle with constant traveling. However, the character of Moneypenny provided her with a “feeling of consistency.”

Afterward, the actress emphasized her preference for continuing to work alongside the same group at Pinewood Studios, finding it a “wonderful” experience. In more recent times, the actress who starred in Ninja Assassin has expressed feeling adrift without the character she portrayed.

Despite no official updates on the franchise, producer Barbara Broccoli mentioned to The Guardian last year that the executives haven’t initiated any additional planning for the series yet.

As a die-hard Bond fan, I can’t contain my excitement for the next James Bond movie! The mystery surrounding who will embody the legendary secret agent is tantalizingly intriguing. Whatever twists and turns the franchise may take, one thing remains certain – we’re on tenterhooks for any updates that come our way!
