As an ardent fan of Jenna Ortega, I must say her journey from being a hesitant Wednesday Adams to embracing the role wholeheartedly is nothing short of inspiring. Her transformation from a timid actress terrified by the prospect of reprising her iconic character to a confident producer with a sense of responsibility is truly remarkable.
Jenna Ortega will once again take on the famous role of Wednesday Addams when the second season of the Netflix series “Wednesday” is released. This follow-up to the initial episodes that debuted on the streaming service around two years ago will soon be available for viewing.
Despite receiving acclaim for her role in the series, Ortega asserted that she had initially been quite frightened at the prospect of reprising the character.
On The Tonight Show hosted by Jimmy Fallon, the actress opened up about the new season of their series, sharing how the two-year gap between seasons made her constantly question her role. She candidly admitted during the interview that she felt a bit anxious because it had been quite some time since she last played her character from the original film.
She also mentioned that they had carried out the action around two or three years back in Romania. As a result, she wasn’t exactly sure about her abilities, feeling perhaps she was overthinking it. However, once she donned the costumes by Colleen Atwood, had her hair and makeup done, and then removed all facial expressions, she realized, “Ah, I see. I think I can manage this.”
Besides acting as the main character in the production, the 21-year-old is additionally involved in producing the series. Stepping into a different professional capacity, the actress expressed that this opportunity instilled a feeling of accountability within her.
In my role as a dedicated follower, I can’t help but feel exhilarated when contemplating the power to determine aspects such as the shade of someone’s appearance or the placement of vital organs like brains on the floor. The creativity involved in designing prosthetics is simply captivating and incredibly enjoyable.
Previously discussing her part in the hit series, the former Disney star mentioned she initially intended to decline the role of Wednesday. However, it was Tim Burton’s persuasion that eventually led her to accept it. As per the Hollywood actress, Burton was firm about his decision regarding the casting.
Initially, the role in “The Miller’s Girl” didn’t fully capture my interest. However, the directness of our conversation with Burton sparked a newfound desire within me to pursue the job even more. In the end, he managed to influence my thoughts significantly.
In addition to working on a Netflix show, Jenna Ortega is also gearing up for the premiere of her upcoming film titled Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. This movie is set to debut on September 4, whereas the release of Wednesday 2 has been scheduled for 2025.
