Oh, the thrill of it all! As an ardent fan, I can hardly contain my excitement as Coleman Domingo gears up to reprise his iconic role as Ali Muhammed in Euphoria’s third season. The man, the myth, the heartthrob – he’s become a beacon of hope for a generation that yearns for guidance and wisdom.
As I prepare to step back into the shoes of Ali Muhammed for the upcoming third season of Euphoria, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and anticipation. Filming kicks off in January 2025, and I’m thrilled to continue my journey with this captivating series. Over the past two seasons, I’ve been fortunate enough to receive praise for my performance, and it’s an honor to have earned the title of “heartthrob” from the dedicated fans who’ve followed our story thus far. Here’s to a new chapter filled with drama, emotion, and unforgettable moments!
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actor disclosed that Sam Levison created his character, modeled after someone who served as Levison’s sponsor. Interestingly, the actor admitted he wasn’t aware that this character would instantly turn him into a beloved fan figure.
During an interview with Jessica Shaw on Sirius XM’s The Spotlight, Domingo expressed his excitement about being involved in the HBO series, noting that he finds it remarkable and almost hard to believe due to the immense fame it has brought him. He conveyed this sentiment to the host by saying, “It’s truly incredible.”
Additionally, he mentioned that the younger crowd identified him due to his character in Euphoria. The actor from The Color Purple expressed, “They exclaim, ‘Wow, it’s Ali!’ What’s heartwarming is they often see me as a big brother, a mentor, or someone they can confide in.”
In addition to his acting roles, the star also recollected some of his unusual experiences with admirers. Sharing one such instance, Domingo disclosed that he made a trip to Los Angeles where a gang of young women would frequently gaze at the Euphoria actor. The 54-year-old continued, “I can’t quite explain it, but they kept watching, and then eventually I waved. And boy, did I hear some screams!” This seems to suggest that he remains popular with a younger crowd as well.
He went on to express, “Unexpectedly, it occurred when I was 54 years old. Regardless of when, just as long as it took place in my lifetime, that’s what matters.”
In January 2025, it’s expected that production for Euphoria’s third season will kick off. Since its last release in 2022, the show has taken a break due to several factors. However, the producers have assured us that all primary cast members will reprise their roles.
