HBO has released the official trailer for *IT: Welcome to Derry*, the new *IT* prequel series. It will start streaming on Max on October 26th.
The trailer description includes a chilling tagline: “You were never meant to leave.”
HBO dropped a new trailer and poster hinting at Pennywise’s frightening comeback to Derry, Maine, perfectly timed for Halloween. You can watch the trailer here.
NYCC 2025 Panel Set
HBO Max will be at New York Comic Con on Saturday, October 11th, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The team behind the upcoming series *IT: Welcome to Derry* – including cast and creators – will be appearing on the Empire Stage. You can find more details here.
The panel promises:
- Never-before-seen footage
- A special red band, uncensored version of the trailer
I’m really excited about this panel! They’ve got Andy Muschietti, the director, and his producing partner Barbara, along with the showrunners Jason Fuchs and Brad Caleb Kane. Plus, a bunch of the actors will be there – Jovan Adepo, Taylour Paige, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, and Kimberly Guerrero. Perri Nemiroff from Collider is going to be leading the discussion, which should be great!

This series delves into the backstory of Pennywise and the town of Derry, revealing how the terrifying events from Stephen King’s *IT* universe began. It serves as a prequel to the popular movies *IT* and *IT Chapter Two*.
Bill Skarsgård reprises his role as Pennywise, and he’s joined by Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, and Rudy Mancuso in the cast.
The film’s executive producers are Andy and Barbara Muschiettis, along with Jason Fuchs, Brad Caleb Kane, David Coatsworth, Shelley Meals, Roy Lee, and Dan Lin.
