During a recent virtual gathering hosted by her beauty brand Rare Beauty, the multitalented Gomez engaged in an interactive discussion with her fans, also addressing questions about their romantic connection.
Initially, Gomez shared what guidance she’d offer her younger self. Specifically, she mentioned that she would encourage herself to stop being overly critical.
In the continuation of our conversation, the Monte Carlo star confided, “I was extremely critical of myself. If my teacher reprimanded me for chattering excessively, I’d dwell on it throughout the day. If a boy I had feelings for asked another girl out in front of me, I would be emotionally distraught for quite some time.
Gomez admitted that for a long time, she was overly critical of herself, believing she wasn’t good enough or didn’t belong. However, she emphasized that everyone is unique, created to be exactly who they are. Following this self-realization, Gomez shared her favorite pastime, which involves collaborating with Benny Blanco.
The former Disney employee expressed, “It might seem a bit strange, but simply stepping back and observing your surroundings can be very beneficial – for instance, at home, I enjoy going outside, placing my feet on the grass, relaxing there while listening to some music, and focusing on things that help me feel grounded.” She went on to say, “I’m trying to find ways to connect with nature and calm myself.
Emilia Perez mentioned that she enjoys fresh foods and often goes gardening with her partner. Gomez added, “I’m developing a preference for fresh produce and such activities due to my boyfriend.” She continued, “The pleasure of being in the garden, picking food I can cook, may seem trivial, but as you grow older, you appreciate the beauty of simplicity.
Currently, in her professional life, Selena Gomez is set to reappear as Mabel Mora for the fourth installment of “Only Murders in the Building”. Her character will join forces with Charlie and Oliver once more, this time investigating the mystery surrounding Sazz Pataki’s demise.
Beyond the famous three-person team, the show also introduces some fresh faces such as Eugene Levy, Molly Shannon, Eva Longoria, and Zach Galifianakis. Furthermore, Gomez, Martin Short, and Steve Martin aren’t the only familiar ones; Meryl Streep has made her comeback for a brand new season as well.
