‘It Must Suck’: Post Malone on Why He Does Not Want A Career Like Taylor Swift

As a devoted fan of Post Malone, I can’t help but admire his humility and down-to-earth nature amidst the glitz and glamour of the music industry. Unlike many other artists who thrive on the limelight, Posty prefers to stay grounded, shying away from the spotlight that comes with his success.

Post Malone is known for his exceptional talent in the music world, often collaborating with well-known musicians. Lately, he teamed up with Taylor Swift on her groundbreaking album, The Tortured Poets Department, which earned him much praise. Despite basking in the limelight of stardom, Malone tends to maintain a distance from it.

Malone boasts a substantial fanbase on Instagram throughout his career, often finding himself immersed in the limelight of success. Yet, rather than embracing it fully, he opted for seclusion, setting boundaries for reaching the pinnacle of his achievements.

In an interview with the New York Times, Post Malone discussed the numerous safety precautions celebrities with significant fame must take for their protection. He mentioned that during the filming of their hit song “Fortnight from The Tortured Poets Department,” Taylor Swift had to conceal herself under an umbrella and curtains to navigate a golf cart and reach the set, in order to prevent drones from capturing her image.

Instead, during our discussion with The New York Times, he mentioned another instance from his partnership with Beyoncé. For the ‘LEVII’S JEANS’ track, one of her representatives sent him to his Utah home, presumably to prevent any leaks. In that conversation, he expressed, “I can hardly fathom their stature – it must be burdensome. That much pressure is overwhelming.”

Malone went on to express that he feels privileged to even be around these individuals. In regards to his collaboration with Queen Bey, they never had a chance to meet in person. Instead, they communicated through text messages to maintain secrecy about their song. Looking back, he described the experience as “terrifying.”

In the same interview, Post Malone discussed his upcoming country music album, F-1 Trillion, set to drop on August 16th. His guitarist, Derek Wells, praised his authenticity within the genre, stating that he hasn’t just jumped on the bandwagon. Rather, according to Wells, Malone has shown a genuine dedication to country music, learning and mastering it properly. He has earned his place in this genre, and we can expect great things from him.
