‘It Made Me Appreciate Life So Much’: Bunnie XO Discusses How A Misdiagnosed Health Scare Helped Her Realize What Truly Matters

As a follower of Bunnie XO, I have always admired her courage and resilience, but her recent health scare has truly touched my heart. Having gone through similar experiences myself, I can relate to her fear and anxiety when faced with potential medical issues.

In the electrifying episode of my beloved Dumb Blonde podcast on August 8, none other than the radiant Bunnie XO, at an astonishing 44 years young, shared a heart-stopping health predicament with her devoted audience. With a tone brimming with fervor and urgency, she implored us all to seize the moment and cherish our lives and those we hold dear, for opportunity can be as fleeting as a shooting star.

The model and podcast presenter admitted she had been experiencing recurring headaches and decided to consult a doctor about them. “I found out that it seemed to happen after consuming certain types of food,” she said, “I’m not sure if it was high in sodium or something, because I don’t usually eat unhealthy foods.”

She mentioned that she follows a quite monotonous diet as she’s making an effort to heal from the physical damage caused by drugs during her youth. Notably, Bunnie and her husband, famous country artist Jelly Roll, are open about their paths to recovery.

In her podcast discussion, Bunnie expressed a lifelong apprehension about aneurysms due to a near-fatal incident experienced by her mother. For those who might be unfamiliar, an aneurysm refers to a swelling or ballooning in a brain blood vessel, resembling a grape on a stem. When it bursts, it’s usually a serious situation that results in intense headaches.

As someone who’s been undergoing MRIs since I was young, due to traumatic experiences linked to my mother’s ruptured aneurysm, I found myself on the phone with my doctor at 2 a.m., scheduling my next scan to pinpoint the source of my persistent headaches. Upon receiving the results, I was informed that they suspected an aneurysm might be present. This discovery was, for me, a deeply feared reality materializing.

In my case, having a mother who experienced a ruptured aneurysm places me in a higher-risk category, a fact I’ve learned from scientific evidence. This family history significantly increases my chances of encountering the same situation.

“Bunnie remembered, ‘My thoughts were racing in every direction. In an instant, I dropped to my knees and began praying fervently. The tears flowed freely, and they were so intense that I strained a muscle in my neck. For three consecutive days, I wept.'”

She mentioned that she had gone for another scan with optimism for a more favorable outcome, but instead received news about a two-millimeter aneurysm discovered in her carotid artery, a pair of blood vessels situated on each side of the neck.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but share this thrilling update from my beloved Bunnie! After revealing her visit to a neurologist, she disclosed an astonishing turn of events – it wasn’t an aneurysm after all! To add more relief, she consulted with a vascular surgeon who confirmed that there was no underlying issue. In fact, the surgeon gave Bunnie the green light to take her passion for tackle football to the field if she so desired! What a rollercoaster of emotions!

In simpler terms, Bunnie shared, “That’s what the past eight days of my life looked like, folks. It’s made me value life tremendously. I know it might sound overly dramatic, but honestly, it’s helped me understand that, well, most of what we worry about just isn’t important.”

As a deeply devoted admirer, I’m sharing this heartwarming piece of advice: I’ve discovered the secret to true happiness – embracing my loved ones wholeheartedly, just like I do with my cherished spouse. I urge you, dear listeners, to follow suit and envelop yourselves in the tender embrace of family and friends who mean the world to you. After all, it’s those connections that truly matter.
