As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for the human side of celebrity, I cannot help but feel a profound sense of empathy for Cheryl, who has just experienced the unimaginable loss of her ex-partner and the father of her child, Liam Payne. Having spent years in the public eye myself, I understand the unique challenges that come with navigating both personal and professional lives under intense scrutiny.
Liam Payne’s previous partner, Cheryl, famous for her time in the pop group Girls Aloud, is deeply saddened by his passing. The singer, who has a 7-year-old son named Bear with Payne, expressed her feelings after the heartbreaking incident through an Instagram post.
Two days following the tragic fall of the former One Direction band member from a third-story balcony at CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina on October 16, Cheryl mourned his passing by sharing an old photo on social media featuring her baby son and the deceased musician.
Beyond honoring her past relationship, she also penned a heartfelt plea about shielding their son from future media intrusion. “As I struggle to cope with this devastating turn of events and grapple with my own emotional turmoil during this unbearably difficult period,” she stated, “I would like to gently remind everyone that we have suffered a tragic loss.
Cheryl reminded everyone that Payne was not just a pop star but a son, a brother, a friend, and a father to a seven-year-old son who “has to face the reality of never seeing his father again.” She expressed her fear over the media exposure that her son might fall victim to one day. In the future, Bear will have access to the “abhorrent reports and media exploitation” they have witnessed for the last two days. “It is breaking my heart further that I cannot protect him from that in his future,” she added.
This musician disputed unfounded rumors, leaving nothing but damage for those left to clean up the mess. “Prior to posting comments or creating videos,” she suggested, “consider whether you’d want your own child or loved ones to read them.” Cheryl also implored the public to offer the deceased singer some measure of respect and let him find a modicum of peace in his final moments.
In 2008, a musical duo crossed paths on the stage of X Factor. At that time, one was a contestant while the other served as a judge. However, their bond evolved into romance, leading to the birth of their son named Bear in 2017. Despite parting ways in 2018, they maintained a friendly relationship and took turns raising their child until Payne’s passing.
