In a recent development, a fresh piece of information has emerged about the ongoing court dispute between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. An artist who worked on the storyboard for their movie “It Ends With Us” has chosen to support the film’s director and has levied allegations against Blake Lively, known for her role in “Another Simple Favor.
On Sunday, April 13, the Australian edition of 60 Minutes broadcasted a piece delving into the widely debated legal case, during which they interviewed Talia Spencer, a crew member. Spencer praised Baldoni as one of the rare directors who demonstrated kindness and respect.
Spencer mentioned that it was the actor from Jane the Virgin who invited her to join the project. She asserted that he had a distinct concept for the movie, not driven by fame. Additionally, she acknowledged his significant impact on the art departments of over ten shows and films since 2019.
Spencer shared with the media that perhaps Blake perceived his kindness as a sign of vulnerability, and attempted to exploit it by grasping for power. When 60 Minutes Australia inquired if this supposed power grab initiated the legal dispute, Spencer concurred.
According to the artist, it appears that Lively managed to diminish Baldoni’s importance in the movie, as she stated, “It seems there was a significant deviation from Justin’s initial concept for the film.
In a heated legal dispute, the actors Lively and Baldoni, who collaborated on the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s top-selling novel, find themselves engaged in a contentious feud. This conflict, as the judge has characterized it, resembles a war between public relations teams. The disagreement ignited in December 2024 when the actress filed a lawsuit against both her co-star and director.
She made allegations towards him involving sexual harassment, breach of privacy, inappropriate conduct on set, and organizing a supposedly malicious online campaign, among other charges. In response, Baldoni counter-sued her, Ryan Reynolds, and her representative for defamation and extortion.
The trial is scheduled to begin in 2026.
