Israeli Producer Behind Apple TV’s ‘Tehran’ Found Dead in Athens Hotel Room

Dana Eden, the producer of the popular Israeli series “Tehran,” died in her Athens hotel room on Sunday, according to Greek police. She was 52 years old, and authorities are investigating her death as a potential suicide.

Eden was filming the fourth season of an Apple TV+ spy show in Athens, Greece. The series centers on a Mossad agent attempting to go undercover within the Iranian government. When she stopped responding to messages from her brother, he found her body, according to Israeli news source Kan. The Greek newspaper Ta Nea reported she had bruises on her neck and lower body.

Donna and Shula Productions, the company that created “Tehran,” has stated that the recent death was not the result of any crime or political motives. A spokesperson for the company told the Times of Israel that rumors suggesting foul play are false and without merit.
