“Luffy would win against Naruto in a one-on-one fight,” he confidently told a fan. This clearly shows how much he loves the series. It’s not just talk – his YouTube channel is dedicated to One Piece, and he collects Luffy figures.
Speed also argued that One Piece is better than Naruto in every way. He specifically highlighted One Piece’s incredible world-building, noting that creator Eiichiro Oda skillfully links together islands, storylines, and backstories. He feels Naruto doesn’t achieve this same level of depth and connection.
Speed also highlighted the strength of the characters. He noted that everyone, from main characters like Luffy and Zoro to supporting roles, is incredibly well-developed and unique. He believes this compelling cast is a key reason why One Piece remains a beloved story.
Speed actually sees the show’s length – over 1000 episodes – as a good thing. He believes it demonstrates how popular and enduring the series has been, and it means there’s plenty for viewers to watch.
IShowSpeed really loves One Piece and thinks it’s much better than Naruto.
