As fate would have it, she crossed paths with her past tormentors, experiencing a brief moment of hesitation before managing to interact with them.
They admitted to having left high school without a diploma and no longer harboring any resentment towards her. Serina and Kai openly shared their emotions, thus putting an end to any unresolved feelings from their past relationship. As summer drew to a close, Ishimori requested Kai’s contact details, while her father pondered over the girl’s self-reliance.
In the ninth episode of Honey Lemon Soda, Ishimori embarks on her first karaoke session, but her father, Kenjitsu, unexpectedly witnesses this event. Worried that Yamizumi High might not be the right fit for her, he will express his concerns and suggest she switch schools temporarily, pulling her out in the process.
Recognizing that she felt bullied, he decided to inform the school about it. However, his classmates, including Ayumi, tried unsuccessfully to clear up the misconception. As Ishimori’s phone remained unresponsive, Kai resolved to scale her balcony in an attempt to get in touch with her.
