Is Yellowstone Creator Taylor Sheridan Trying To Damage Kevin Costner’s Character John Dutton? Deets Inside

As a dedicated fan who has followed Yellowstone since its inception, I must say that this recent turn of events has left me bewildered and disheartened. The departure of Kevin Costner as John Dutton was a shock to many, but the way the storyline is unfolding now seems like an intentional attempt to tarnish the legacy of a beloved character.

Since it became apparent that Kevin Costner wouldn’t reprise his role as John Dutton in Yellowstone’s second half, numerous fans felt a deep sense of disappointment. Yet, this choice could have stirred up even greater frustration within the show’s creator.

Recently, I’ve been witnessing a heart-wrenching spectacle unfolding in the world of “Yellowstone” – the once formidable empire built by the iconic John Dutton, portrayed brilliantly by Kevin Costner, appears to be crumbling before my very eyes.

Despite Costner’s declaration that synchronizing with the production timeline wouldn’t be feasible, leading him to depart and hint at potential legal consequences, it appears that series creator Taylor Sheridan aims to preserve or perhaps redefine the essence of the primary character.

Sheridan is the sole writer of the season so far, and the first few episodes have been a bit odd.

Despite the shock surrounding Dutton’s demise, it was particularly chilling to learn that he had taken his own life by shooting himself in the head, a tragic event that occurred not too far from a bathroom. Although it was later revealed as part of Sarah’s cruel plot, many viewers in the world of Yellowstone believe that the character chose to end his life following years of portraying masculine strength on the show.

As an ardent fan, I can’t help but share my astonishment! In the latest installment of our beloved series, it’s revealed that Summer, the lady who found sanctuary on the Dutton Ranch under house arrest, wasn’t actually bound by such legal restraints as we thought. The post-mortem episode unveils a shocking truth – Summer was a free spirit all along, as evidenced by documents carelessly scattered across the living room table.

This means that John Dutton had seemingly kidnapped Summer.

In the recent episode, while Sarah and Jamie are pondering the scratch marks found on Dutton’s body as possible signs of foul play, Sarah suddenly interjects with a thought: “Could those marks on his body have occurred when he fell to the floor? After all, he was an elderly man. It’s plausible that he slipped in the bathtub, just as easily as we suspect murder.

It appears as though this text is designed to poke fun at Kevin Costner, who has found himself the subject of clever banter.

Only time will tell what Yellowstone does with the character of John Dutton further.
